Back To Vengeance

Words and Music by Carol Murphy

Read my sins on my skin

Witness my shame from within

And still, you say you want to love

But my only fight is with my Lord above

She kisses him and touches his hair

And feels his pockets for what he has stolen

Hands laced with heavy stoned rings

She pulls out diamonds and staggers away unseen

She walks through the night cold

mountainous hovels out and old

blackness screams coming from all sides

As the crowbar gangs, set the houses alight, without a care for those inside

Little fires twinkle in the void all around

Burning the homes of the broken unsound

She offers diamonds to the masked men

But their lust’s for murder, let’s not pretend

If you want my love it’s not on the table

Even though I know you are fit and able

If I let you in me you I’ll destroy

It’s back to vengeance my pretty, pretty, little boy
