Rumblings of Live Performances of The Body & Blood
I was having so much fun that it was way beyond healthy. Almost more than having a cup of tea. On the one shoulder I could hear my mother laughing and on the other I could hear my dad say, “It’ll all end in tears.” I disregarded both and completely forgot to press the edit button, when asked by Stuart Bailey, “So what will come of the project once the five episodes are released?” Out it popped. “I would love to perform this live, maybe in a theatre.” And there it is in black and white, on the page in issue 7 of Dig With It magazine. Next thought. I once dodged body popping across the stage in a primary school production of Aladdin by psychosomatically making myself sick for a week. Bear in mind, I was a fat 10-year-old. Next thought. Aladdin rubs furiously at that euphemistic lamp and out pops the Genie, yeah whatever, and grants him three wishes. Well, get this, MAGGIE MURTAGH IS MATERIALIZING, in the bally flesh, for future live performances, and in MORE WAYS THAN ONE. The Vigilante Cannibal Nun is a comin’, LIVE AND ALIVE, and I ain’t feigning no sickness, hi. Why would I if I’ve got it going on in the head region already? Like tantalizing ‘n metastasizing innit. MMmmmmmm, thinks Maggie, what else shall I wish for? World peace? Nah, I haven’t been on the rampage yet. Leave that for after I let rip. Fight’n talk. Maggie talk. Walk’n the walk talk. RRRRRrrrraaaggghhhhhhhh. That is how you spell a lion roaring, but not on the moon.
