First Press for The Body & Blood

Maggie Schmaggie and The body & Blood have their first press. OH YES! It is an online excerpt from an article that will be published in full in the new up and coming hard copy edition of “Dig With It” magazine, written by the editor, music journalist and Co-Founder of Oh Yeah Music Centre, Belfast, Stuart Bailey. Wonderfully flattering for our Maggie, referencing the likes of the “Murder Ballads” sub-genre of the traditional ballad form dealing with crime or gruesome death; Nick Cave specifically; Jacobean revenge tragedy; Bob Dylan’s “She Belongs to Me”; the Netflix “Hip Hop Evolution” documentary series; and partying with Kool Herc in the Bronx back in the day. So exciting. Thank you Dig With It! Out on hard copy on the 28th January 2022. Check it out. Rock on, and on, Maggie! www.digwithit.com/?p=2015
